There was a loss of human life, people were injured, livestock was lost, and roads were damaged (state highways, national highways, and link roads). In one of our target cities, Ahmedabad, a waste management campaign was launched from November 21 to November 28. “Know Your Waste” was the session's theme, and it focused on defining the most fundamental distinctions between different sorts of waste, as well as the straightforward methods for treating each type. The eighth-grade kids were chosen as the target group because their curriculum includes lessons on various sorts of garbage. As a result, they already have a basic understanding of them. Students showed up for the sessions and enthusiastically participated in the activities organized throughout the campaign.
A photography campaign was conducted on-ground across different Community Learning Centers (CLCs) located in Bengaluru, Pune, and Ahmedabad. The campaign was conducted in three sessions in each of the 13 Community Learning centers, with more than 500 school-going children participating in the sessions in the three target cities. The session's theme was "Know Your Surroundings," which was organized to raise awareness about climate change and its impacts on our surroundings among school-going children.

The Quiz series is aimed to do the same and intended that children will learn and engage in understanding climate change and its impact on our daily lives. Waste to Wonder Park is a theme park in New Delhi which emphasizes on waste management and renewable energy. All 7 wonders of the world have been recreated from scrap material from auto rickshaws, cars, ships, metal fans, rods, nut-bolts, iron sheets etc. A total of 150 tonnes of waste has been used to build up these structures. The Waste to Wonder Park was constructed within a span of six months by five artists, seven supplementary artists and 70 welders. Even the washrooms in the park are built from old ship containers.

_VOIS Planet conducted a painting competition on 13 February 2022 on the theme, 'Clean & Green City of my Dreams' to encourage the spirit of environmentalism among school children and youth.Children between the age group of 5-18 participated in the competition. _VOIS Planet received 450 entries on how the students visualised the problem of pollution and envisaged solutions for their cities.Here, we showcase the top ten paintings that won praise from the judges for artistic creativity and understanding about environment. We hope that such events will strengthen the sense of dedication towards environment among the children as they grow up into responsible adults.
In August 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, residents in Budapest received a letter on their doorstep. The city council had asked for help. The letter asked the citizens to register for Hungary's first citizen assembly. The purpose of the assembly was to narrow down the topic of climate change and ask the stakeholders' opinions on how to fight it. In the end, the assembly drafted a set of recommendations which served as the basis of the final climate strategy that the government implemented in February 2021.
Alexandria is a Mediterranean port city and has a long history of coastal and flash flooding. But, the rising temperature in recent years has brought frequent and severe storms to the city. The government has initiated a flood action project to mitigate the impacts of floods in the city.
The Yamuna River originates from the Yamunotri glacier, cuts through the pristine valleys of Himalayas to enter into the lowlands of North India. The crystal-clear water turns pitch black after it enters Delhi. There are more than 18 drains that dump untreated sewage and industrial waste in the river; the toxicity levels have increased so much that marine life is practically non-existent. The communities whose livelihood is dependent on the river, suffer both physically and financially. The difficulties of low income are compounded by the diseases caused by constant exposure to toxic water. The Delhi Government has planned to expand its sewage treatment capacity to drastically reduce the pollutants that are directly dumped in the river.

Community learning centres have been established in the respective cities to plan, implement and monitor relevant actions and contribute towards achieving a better future together. CLC’s successfully helped in forming an effective environment committee, spread awareness among citizens, planned plantation drives, and reused waste materials in the plantation activity.
