In an attempt to boost the solar energy sector in the country, a special solar rooftop scheme has been announced by the Tamil Nadu state government. In an attempt to reduce the dependency on electricity and firewood to run heating systems in the extremely cold regions of Leh, engineers have developed a bio-gas-powered floor heating system. The Ministry of Science and Technology reported that the eco-friendly project initiated at the Thiksey Village Leh is fulfilled in collaboration with the SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture and the Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering.
