On June 5, 2025, on the occasion of World Environment Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0, the second phase of his nationwide tree-planting campaign, by planting a banyan sapling at Mahavir Jayanti Park in New Delhi.
