Britain’s academia warns the country of impending ‘catastrophic’ environmental fallout and the need to combat climate change. A few weeks earlier, Britain published a report warning that without immediate, extensive lowering of GHG emissions, capping global warming at 1.5 or two degrees will soon be ‘beyond reach.’
As per the impact of climate change, Britain’s agriculture and business are changing, trying to adapt to sustainable methods and greener practices. Companies operating outside of land-dependent businesses are also adapting their strategies around climate change. The UK is currently in its third Carbon budget, which ends in 2022. According to the UK Climate Change Committee (CCC), Britain is currently ‘off-track’ for its fourth, fifth and sixth carbon budgets.
