NTPC and National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL) have joined hands to manufacture green ammonia and renewable energy.
National Thermal Power Corporation, the state run power company, has signed an MOU with National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL). With the partnership, the companies intend to explore the possibilities of supplying 90MW round the clock renewable electric power, in two phases, starting with 30MW in the first phase and 60MW in the second phase. The companies also aim to manufacture green ammonia for use in industrial products of NFL, the target is to produce 50 tonnes per day of green ammonia.
NTPC is launching new initiatives to manufacture green hydrogen and hydrogen filling stations, synthesizing green methanol, hydrogen blending and green hydrogen storage projects.
