India has officially joined the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People, which is an organization of more than 70 countries encouraging the adoption of the global goal to protect at least 30% of the world’s land and ocean by 2030. The 30x30 target of this group is a global target that aims to halt the accelerating loss of biodiversity (including flora and fauna) and protecting vital ecosystems.
DMT Environmental Technology (DMT) will be providing the biogas upgrading technology for the first ever collaboration between Thames Water and SGN Commercial Services in the UK. SGN was awarded an eight-year framework, amounting to £70 million (€82 million) by Thames Water. They will also design, construct, operate and regulate biogas processing plants at Thames Water’s wastewater treatment facilities.

Since the announcement of the Delhi government of a strict ban on sale, purchase and usage of fire crackers, more states are stepping on the control of pollution this diwali season. The Assam Pollution Control Board (APCB), declared the allowance of 'green crackers' in a two-hour time period.

The new WHO Global Air Quality Guidelines (AQGs) provide a clear indication of the damage that air pollution inflicts on human health, now at even lower concentrations than previously understood. Garvita Gulhati is the twenty-one year old co-founder of a charity organization called ‘Why Waste?’. Based in Bangalore she also won the 'Global Changemaker' title in 2018. It is a youth-led organization based on water conservation. It came to life after learning that 14 million liters of water is wasted in India every year just from the amount people leave in cups in restaurants.
